The mission of Family Support (South Canterbury) Incorporated is "to promote the wellbeing of families"
Statements of Philosophy For Our Organisation
The focus of our services are children, young persons and their families.
Our services are provided in the family context - we work with the whole family.
Our task is to facilitate the growth of confidence, development of living skills and a sense of independence and self help, within the family unit and its individual members.
Our method is to help the family, and its members, to plan for their own development, to use effectively their own and community resources; and to achieve integration in the community, which is personally satisfying and relevant to their potential.
Specific services are offered to the family and/or its members, in the context of their personal aspirations and goals, at a time and in a form relevant to them.
As we are a not-for-profit organisation, we welcome assistance from the community.

Many of the families we help, live in cold and drafty homes. They also often have very little in the way of essential household equipment. To help those clients, and keep them warm, we welcome donations of:
